“I met David when I was the VP of Marketing and Communication and he was volunteering as the Social Media Coordinator for the Calgary IIBA® Chapter.

David is a very active member in the local IIBA® chapter. He not only attends monthly events but he also networks with other attendees and helps with set up.

He was also a very active volunteer. As the Social Media Coordinator he was responsible for managing the chapter Facebook page, LinkedIn group, and Twitter feed. He consistently posted discussions and tweets that contributed to the overall BA community. In this role he also provided input on marketing standards and goals for the yearly business plan.

What impressed me the most about David was how he used the information he gathered while performing his social media activities. For example he learned that another chapter was providing a monthly book club and brought this idea forward to the Calgary board. He provided details on how the other chapter was delivering the service, how Calgary could adopt the service and how he would assist with the initiative once approved.
